Volunteers are a crucial part of the Seniors Wellness Society and OneSky Community Resources seniors services programs. Our volunteers are part of a community initiative to increase quality of life by building community capacity and helping to reduce isolation and vulnerability for the seniors in Penticton.
With flexible schedules and time commitments to suit your needs, there are many ways to be involved in your community.
As a volunteer, you choose the services you want to provide, let us know when you are available and how much time you want to commit. We appreciate all help, even if it is on an occasional basis. Ways you can help include:
Transportation: providing transportation to and from appointments and group outings
Deliveries: picking up and delivering groceries and other items
Friendly Visiting: by phone or in person on a regular basis
Home Repairs: assisting with simple home repairs
Office Support: help in the office with mail outs and other administrative tasks
Technology Support: helping seniors understand technology, and their devices
Caregiver Support: support for those caring for seniors
How to apply
We accept volunteer applications on an ongoing basis. Our application process includes an interview, reference checks, criminal record check and an orientation. Please fill out the application form here.

We welcome those from all parts of our community and particularly encourage people from our smaller communities, Indigenous communities, and rural areas to apply.
